The certainty around exactly how effective the Pfizer vaccine is for young children is very low. Media reports, Press releases, vaccine influencers, and politicians have all pushed the Pfizer shot for kids as if it’s an effective, urgent, and no-risk decision that is obvious. Clearly, parents across the US think differently, considering less than 5% have opted to give their children the shots. It’s a completely reasonable position to take, as many are probably taking the “why would I vaccinate my immune child?” approach, and perhaps a few others are taking the “wait and see” approach.
In the following analysis, I will focus on Vaccine Effectiveness by simplifying the data that Pfizer submitted to the FDA to obtain an EUA (“Emergency” Use Authorization) for their shot.
